Student internships, residencies, and education
UW Health Partners Watertown Regional Medical Center offers a variety of opportunities for students to provide real-life training to healthcare professionals. We routinely welcome students from UW School of Medicine, Maranatha Baptist Bible College, University of Wisconsin Whitewater, University of Wisconsin LaCrosse, and the list goes on. Through this program, we offer well rounded programs, from Surgical Technology to Physician Residencies, to prepare students for their careers in healthcare.
In addition, we welcome anyone who is interested in exploring a career in healthcare through our student experience program. Here, students can shadow a professional for a day to see what it's really like to work in that field. This is very helpful in gauging one's interest in pursuing an educational program of study.
Contact Kate Driessen in the Human Resources Department at 920-262-4521 regarding these programs.
Annually, UW Health Partners Watertown Regional Medical Center offers scholarships for graduating high school seniors entering a healthcare field of study at several local high schools. Students at Watertown, Dodgeland, Hustisford, Jefferson, Johnson Creek, Lake Mills, Waterloo, and Lakeside Lutheran High Schools should see their guidance department for application instructions. In addition, RN scholarships are offered at Madison Area Technical College's Watertown Campus as well as Maranatha Baptist Bible College. The student financial aid office is available to assist in application instructions for these scholarships.
